Humanity s awareness of science and the world changed as ages
changed. Scientists have been describing ages according to the major innovation
that occurred in it: the printing age, the machine age, the Industrial
Revolution age, the technology age, the computer decade, the atom age, the
Internet age, up to the ages of measuring extremely short time scales in the
femtosecond, robot artificial intelligence and smart phones.
After an initial lightning tour of Tangier, my mind was filled with
what I had read about its most well-known writers: Muhammad Shukri, Altaher bin
Jalloun, Paul Bowels, Tennessee Williams, etc., I saw more than a single city
in one place with buildings carrying the styles of different periods of history.
The turbulent events which the Arab region has witnessed in recent
months played a major role in making the Arab old and young once again
interested in the Arab media, which is now required to present lively scenes of
what is taking place.
After a year which was characterized mainly by change demanded by
millions of young men and women who sparked off a wave of uprisings and even
sacrificed their lives for it, many voices were heard giving descriptions,
making analyses and comparisons and drawing conclusions.
