Nature knows best.
Once upon a time, a farmer lived quietly in the countryside, surrounded by nature’s beauty. One warm afternoon, he was strolling through his fields when he noticed a peculiar sight that made him pause. There before him was a large, round pumpkin, sitting on the ground and held up by a thin, delicate vine. Nearby, on a towering oak tree, he saw tiny acorns clustered on the branches. Puzzled, he thought to himself, “This arrangement seems all wrong.”
The man
began to muse aloud, “If I were in charge of things, I’d certainly make some
changes. A strong, mighty tree like the oak is surely better suited to hold
something as hefty as a pumpkin. And these little acorns? They would look
perfect dangling from the slender vines instead!” The more he thought about it,
the more he became convinced that his version would make much more sense.
After
pondering this idea for a while, he began to feel a bit weary. He decided to
rest beneath the shade of the oak tree, settling down comfortably on the cool
earth. Soon, he drifted into a peaceful nap, lulled by the gentle rustling of
the leaves above.
As he
slept, a small acorn loosened from the branch above and tumbled down, landing
directly on the man’s nose with a gentle tap. Startled awake, he rubbed his
nose in surprise and looked around, feeling both amused and a bit silly.
“Imagine that!” he exclaimed. “If that had been a pumpkin falling on me instead
of a tiny acorn, I’d be in real trouble now!”
With a
chuckle, he realized the wisdom of nature's design. “Maybe things are arranged
exactly as they should be after all,” he concluded. Feeling grateful, he got up
and walked away, now seeing his world with a renewed sense of wonder and
respect.
