Friendship
Once upon a time, on a bright and sunny day, two friends were traveling together. They were walking and talking, enjoying each other’s company, when suddenly a big bear appeared in their path. The bear was close, and the friends were scared.
The two
friends quickly looked around for a safe place to go. They saw a tree nearby
and decided to climb it to stay safe from the bear. One friend was quick and
easily climbed up the tree. But the other friend wasn’t so lucky. He got hurt
and couldn’t climb the tree.
The
friend who was up in the tree was so scared for his own life that he forgot
about his friend below. He didn’t help him climb or even look back. The friend
on the ground had to think fast. He remembered that bears don’t attack things
that are already dead, so he lay down on the ground and pretended to be dead.
The bear
came closer to the friend on the ground. It sniffed around him for a bit,
thinking he might be a tasty meal. But because the friend was very still, the
bear believed he was dead and not worth eating. So, the bear went away.
When the
bear was gone, the friend in the tree climbed down. He asked his friend, “What
did the bear whisper in your ear?”
The
friend on the ground replied, “The bear told me that I should not trust friends
who leave you when you are in danger.”
The moral of the story is that true friends always help you when you are in trouble.
