How often do we give our enemies the means to destroy us?
Once upon a time, a powerful Eagle soared high in the bright blue sky. It loved flying, feeling the wind beneath its wings. But suddenly, the Eagle heard a whizzing sound and felt a sharp pain. Someone had shot an arrow, and it struck the Eagle, causing it to start falling from the sky.
The
Eagle, now weak and hurt, landed on the ground. It felt very tired because of
the deep wound. As it lay there, the Eagle noticed something surprising. The
arrow that hit it had a feather attached to it, and to the Eagle's shock, it
was one of its own feathers.
The Eagle
felt sad and said, "How unfortunate it is that we sometimes help others
hurt us without even knowing." With those words, the Eagle closed its eyes
and took its final breath.
