Peace
Once upon a time, a Country Mouse invited her cousin, the Town Mouse, to visit her small and cozy home in the countryside. The Town Mouse happily accepted, and they had a wonderful time together, even though the Country Mouse lived a simple life. They enjoyed their days in peace and quiet.
Before the Town Mouse left to go
back to the city, she asked the Country Mouse to come with her. She talked
about how exciting and luxurious life in the town was. The Country Mouse became
very curious and wanted to see it all for herself, so she agreed to go.
When they arrived at the Town
Mouse's home, it was just as she had described—there was plenty of delicious
food and lots of fun to be had. But there were also many dangers that the
Country Mouse didn’t know about. While they were eating, a big cat tried to
catch them! They barely escaped, and then a barking dog scared them even more.
The Country Mouse was very
frightened and quickly decided to go back to her peaceful home in the
countryside. She said, “I’d rather live with less, but be safe and happy.
What’s the point of having lots of food if there are so many dangers?”
And so, the Country Mouse
returned home, glad to be back where she could live quietly and safely. She
learned that it's better to live simply and peacefully than to have luxury and
be in constant danger.
